Bank: Police Officer Shot Dead In Bullion Van Attack

A police officer has tragically lost his life after he was shot dead by suspected armed robbers. The Policeman, identified as General
Sergeant Emmanuel Chikudoh, was gunned down while escorting a Nissan Hard Body bullion van with registration number GT 9436
-17.

The van was loaded with cash and heading for an ADB Bank branch at Sefwi Wiawso when it came under attack at Sefwi
Asempanye.

According to police communication, the deceased, Sargent Emmanuel Chikudoh was part of a team escorting an ADB bullion van to
Essam in the Western Region when the incident occurred.

The police said they received a call from the Acting Manager of the ADB bank at Sefwi Wiawso that their van, with registration
number GT 9436-17 Nissan, had come under attack at the outskirt of 290 community near Asempaneye.

“That the team including G/Sgt. Emmanuel Chikodoh was on its way to Essam branch to escort cash to Sefwi-Wiawso branch. On
receipt of this information, police immediately dispatched a patrol team to the area where they met the team with G/Sgt. Emmanuel
Chikudoh who sustained gunshot wounds on the head,” the Police SITREP said.
