Court: Soldier Jailed For Defiling An Undergraduate Student. A personnel of the Nigerian Army, Sunday Awolola, has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly defiling a 300-level
female student of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo state.

Awolola was remanded at the Olokuta medium security prison. Television Continental reports that the chief magistrate of
the court, Mayowa Olanipekun, said the case should be sent to the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for
legal advice.

Awolola, 33, was arraigned on Wednesday, August 14, at the magistrate court sitting in Akure, capital of Ondo state. The
act is contrary to section 357 and punishable under section 358 of the criminal code cap 37 vol laws of the state.
